Grove GMK3050 Crane Overview and Specifications

Grove’s GMK3050 all-terrain crane is a mobile, yet, very capable heavy duty machine. It has a max lift capacity of 55 tons (50 t), a 125 ft. (38 m) main boom max length, and a 49 ft. (15 m) max jib length.

The GMK3050 is powered by a Turbocharged and after-cooled 6‑cylinder Mercedes-Benz OM501LA, diesel engine that generates up to 349 (260 kW) and its 95-galgallon (360 l) fuel tank. It also features an Allison MD 3066 P automatic transmission system, with a 2‑speed transfer case, inter-axle differential lock, and integrated central power take-off for the second axle line.

It comes standard with a full-vision aluminum cab which comes with safety glass windows and an adjustable, hydraulically suspended operator’s seat. The cab also has an engine-independent heater, armrest-integrated crane controls, and it can be tilted forward by 60 degrees for easy access to the transmission, batteries, engine, and hydraulic pumps.

The load moment and anti-two block system, which comes with audio/visual warning and control lever lockout, provides an electronic display of boom radius, length, angle, tip height, and load indicator.

For those looking to push the 3050 even further, there are several options available including: air conditioning for the cab, an electronic drive retarder, trailing boom kit, CD player, and a second spotlight.
