Grove RT860 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Grove RT860 is an excellent hydraulic crane for rough terrains. It comes standard with a 60 ton (54 t) max lift capacity, a 115 ft. (35 m) main boom max length, and a 60 ft. (18 m) max jib length. It’s driven by a Turbocharged, six-cylinder Cummins 6CTA 8.3 diesel engine which generates up to 250 (186 kW) and an 80 gallon (303 L) fuel tank.

The all-vanized steel cab comes with a host of features operators will appreciate. Some of these include: acoustical lining and safety glass, a fire extinguisher, a telescoping tilt wheel, a hot oil cab heater/defroster, and a deluxe seat that comes with a safety belt, and ergonomically-designed armrest-integrated crane controls.

The RT860 also comes with a standard load moment and anti-two block system that provides electronic displays of essential parameters like: boom radius, boom angle, boom length, tip height, maximum permissible load, relative load moment, load indication and warning of impending two-block condition.

For those interested in getting a bit more out of this rough terrain crane, options available include: boom-mounted worklights, an engine block heater, quick reeving hook blocks, air conditioning, a propane heater, and cross axle differential locks.
