Manitowoc M250 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Manitowoc M250 is a powerful liftcrane. It has a max lift capacity of 300 U.S. tons (272 t), a max jib length of 120 ft. (37 m), and a main boom max length of 300 ft. (101 m). It’s powered by a Cummins N14-C450 diesel engine that is capable of producing up to 450 (335 kW), and it also comes standard with an independent swing system which is driven by a fixed-displacement hydraulic motor that is paired up with an internal brake.

The Manitowoc M250 comes with an insulated, fully-enclosed steel cab that is fitted with: a cab space heater, large safety glass, a dome light, an air circulating light, an electric horn, windshield wipers, a sliding door, a fire extinguisher, ergonomically designed crane controls, and a deluxe operator’s seat.

There are also several options available to improve the performance, safety, and comfort of this easy-to-use liftcrane. Some of these include: grooved laggings for the liftcrane, air conditioning for the cab, a bail limit control system for the hoist drums, an elevated operator cab, a load moment indicator, a self-assembly system, an engine upgrade to a Caterpillar 3406B DITA, a single-sheave upper boom point, and jib inserts.
