There are two models within this series — Terex RT 555 and Terex RT 555 – 1. Terex RT 555 cranes are 55-ton rough terrain cranes. Adaptable to any terrain, this crane has hydraulic powered outriggers with fully independent multi-position up and down outriggers.

Terex RT 555 has a maximum lift capacity of 55 tons and a four-section full-power mechanically synchronized telescoping boom with a maximum length of 110 feet. Terex rough terrain cranes offer the latest in technology, hydraulics, ergonomics, and design making them extremely flexible, reliable, and able to be deployed for a broad array of tasks. This crane is fitted with an advanced suspension, fully independent hydraulic outriggers, hydrostatic power steering, and a high-tech operator’s cab all of which add to the Terex RT555 best-in-class features.

Terex RT 555 – 1 has a max. lifting capacity of 50 metric tons (55 U.S. tons). The max. boom length is 33.5 m (110 ft) with a tipping height of 34.8 m (170 ft). The boom is comprised of 4 sections with full mechanical synchronization. . Equipped is (1) hoist (optional (2) auxiliary hoist) that’s powered by a hydraulic 2‑speed motor. The swing has a hydraulic motor driving a planetary gear reducer with a shaft-mounted pinion, external gear shear ball slew bearing bolted to the superstructure and the car body allows the superstructure to rotate 360°. This crane features a high-power Cummins QSB6.7 6 cylinder diesel engine, pushing 185 hp @ 2,400 rpm, and the tank holds up to 80 gallons. Terex has included this rough terrain chassis with hydraulic power steering and different steering modes, hydraulic power steering, front-wheel steering, four-wheel steering concentric, and four-wheel crab steering. The hydraulic system is powered using a 3 gear type pump system.

This series offers comfort and function, a six-way adjustable seat and tinted glass skylight give the operator enhanced visibility and comfort. Inside is an ergonomic design with dual-axis electro-proportional joysticks that are mounted on the armrest. For safety and ease of use, a graphic interface for the rated capacity indicator is installed.
