Position Description:

The primary role of the Market Research Analyst will be to support the Management teams in the following manners: (1) conduct research and analysis, (2) collect and analyze information on existing and potential market opportunities, (3) develop information and tools to increase market penetration, and (4) consolidate information to develop a brief and easy to read market related reports to keep management informed of trends and results in the marketplace.

Your background in market research will provide the foundation to be creatively successful in this important role.


In this position you will:

  • Conduct marketing research and monitor competitive activities; analyze market conditions in the construction industry within the U.S.
  • The successful individual will perform market research and stay current on technology trends, resources and methods
  • Design reports and other tools to enable management to assess and implement strategic plans.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and concern within construction markets (e.g. current legislation, growth trends, new/potential markets, etc.)
  • Proactively integrate best practices into an analyst function, and identify innovative ways to support sales and marketing
  • Individual will also identify best prospects, manage list development and collaborate on strategies for targeted marketing
  • Maintain related database(s) and generate internal database information, such as lists and counts, financial performance and/or other information as required to monitor and evaluate assigned projects
  • Participate in and support various business initiatives
  • Other duties as required

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong creative, analytic and problem-solving capabilities including the ability to develop suggestions and extract information from analyses
  • Ability to effectively communicate results (written & oral skills)
  • Exposure to business research, analysis and presentation
  • First-hand experience with consumer research and financial analysis is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy environment and handle multiple and diverse projects
  • Ambition, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management / prioritization skills
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong aptitude in Microsoft Software including Excel, Power Point, and Access
  • BA/BS degree; major in Business, Marketing, Research or liberal arts
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, sales, research, or related business function
