American HC 110 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Terex/American HC110 is a crawler crane with a maximum lift capacity of 110 tons. The maximum boom length is 200 feet and the maximum jib length is 70 feet.

A deep box car body made of steel was chosen for the HC110. Square axles are put into the body for the crawler side frames, and the top is precision machined and supports a multiple pass hydraulic swivel joint and an anti-friction swing circle. The crawlers of the HC110 are rigid fabricated structures and have a built in automatic lubrication system. The yokes of the crawler are made of high alloy steel.

The counterweight system is made up of four parts. The pieces of the system are pin connected, allowing for quick and easy assembly or disassembly. A hydraulic counterweight removal system is included in each HC110 allowing for easy set up once the crane is on the jobsite. The HC110 without any add-ons can be shipped on a standard lowboy trailer and comply with height and with regulations.

The cab allows for operator comfort and jobsite safety. The control system and other features such as an air conditioner were designed with comfort in mind and allow easy access for the operator. A load moment indicator and an extra wide cab with curved windows allow for more visibility and thus more safety for the operator and others on the jobsite.
