Comansa LCL165-12t Crane Overview and Specifications

The Comansa LCL 165 12t is a free standing stationary luffing jib tower crane, the maximum freestanding height is 56.6 m (185.69 ft.). This tower crane has a maximum lift capacity of 12 metric tons (13.8 U.S. tons). The maximum jib length is 50 m (164 ft.), and its lifting capacity when fully extended is 2 metric tons (2.2 U.S. tons). Comansa designed the LCL series to be easier to transport by creating a modular system which breaks down large components and making them lighter. Many of the parts are interchangeable with other Comansa tower models creating many configurations that work best for the job.

The LCL 165 12t comes equipped with a 50 kW hoist which can be substituted for a more powerful 65kW hoist, the hoist and luffing cables are pre-installed with reevings from the factory. All hoisting mechanisms feature the Effi-Plus system for increasing hoist speeds at low loads. The system when lifting materials operates smoothly without sudden stops. What makes the LCL series different from other tower cranes is that the hoisting mechanisms are placed in the front, near to the cabin, instead of mounted on the counter jib. This configuration helps reduce the slewing radius of the counter jib and increase free space for servicing the main mechanisms.

Luffing jib tower cranes are designed for urban use where space is congested. The crane also has an ergonomic cab which provides the comfort required for long hours on the job to help keep the operator focused.
