Kobelco CKS2500 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Kobelco CKS2500 is a versatile — yet extremely powerful — hydraulic crawler crane. It comes standard with a maximum lift capacity of 275 tons (250 t), a main boom max length of 300 ft. (91 m), and a max jib length of 100 ft. (30 m). The CKS2500 is powered by a four-cycle, after-cooled and Turbocharged HINO P11C-VH engine that generates up to 363 (271 kW) and a 106-galgallon (400 L) fuel tank.

It hosts a fully-enclosed, full vision cab which is completely covered with safety glass. Other features include: a cigarette lighter, a sun visor, a floor mat, a footrest, a convenience compartment that can be used to store tools, air conditioning, and a comfortable operator’s seat.

The 360-degree swing unit is powered by a hydraulic motor which drives spur gears through planetary reduction, and it also comes with a hydraulically-released, multiple-disc brake which is attached to the swing unit motor.

There are also a host of standard safety features which make the Kobelco CKS2500 one of the safest hydraulic crawler cranes around. Some of these include: a swing flasher and warning buzzer that warns folks around the crane, a one-way call system, an accidental lock lever to prevent accidental operation of the crane, and easily-seen crawler movement directional markings.
