Tadano ATF 400G-6 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Tadano ATF 400G‑6 is an all-terrain crane with a maximum lift capacity of 450 tons. The maximum boom length is 196.8 feet. The maximum jib length is a massive 257.5 feet.

The superstructure engine is a Tier IV compliant 6‑cylinder 265 Mercedes-Benz OM 926 LA engine. The carrier engine, the OM 502 LA, is also made by Mercedes-Benz. It is water-cooled, diesel powered, rated at 653 horsepower, and also Tier IV compliant.

The frame of the carrier and superstructure are both torsion resistant and made from high strength fine grained steel. They also both have central lubricating systems. The frame of the superstructure is connected to the carrier by triple roller bearing slewing ring with external gearing.

The suspension system is hydro-pneumatic with leveling adjustment. The brake system is made up of service disc brakes, parking brakes acting on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th axle, and auxiliary brakes including an intarder with brake control, an engine exhaust brake, and a constant throttle engine brake system.

The steering system is a ZF-Servocom dual circuit hydraulic steering system. This system comes standard with an emergency steering pump, mechanical hydraulically assisted steering of the front two axles, and multiple steering modes to complete any job with ease.

The cab has all of the amenities demanded out of a modern crane, such as a cd player, heater and air condition, and LCD graphic displays to let the operator know everything about the Tadano ATF 400G‑6.
