Terex CC 6800 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Terex/Demag CC6800 is a crawler crane with a maximum lift capacity of 1375 tons. It has a maximum boom length of 511.8 feet and a maximum jib length of 354.3 feet.

Durability and efficiency are key in the carrier of a crawler crane. The center pot of the frame is bending and torsion resistant and welded with high strength fine grain structural steel. Each crawler is made up of 15 track rollers with hardened rolling surfaces and is infinitely variably controlled. The crawler side frames, also bend resistant and made of high strength fine grain steel, include centralized lubrication.

The CC 6800 has multiple power sources. The tracks of the crawler are powered by two hydraulic motors. Each of these motors run through closed planetary gear units running in oil baths and contain hydraulically released holding brakes. The units are created much smaller than other units of similar power levels in order to match the width of the crawlers. The superstructure is powered by two engines. These engines are water cooled and put out 428 horsepower. The engine system as a whole is compliant with Tier IV standards.

The cab of the Terex/Demag CC6800 is comfortable, yet efficient and safe. Air conditioning and other amenities keep the operator happy while they work on the state of the art control system. Two colored monitors, a load moment indicator operated by touchscreen, and standard working range limitation are just a few of the tools given to help the operator complete nay lift.
