HRSG Modules Hoisted For Colusa Power Plant
As progress continues at Bigge's current combined cycle power plant project, we have deployed some additional large capacity crawler cranes to set the HRSG modules. For the past several weeks, Bigge has been offloading, transporting, and storing the 300,000 lb. HRSG modules for this project. Now that the structural steel that will house the modules has been set, the heavy lifts have started.
We are hoisting the modules with a 500 ton capacity Manitowoc 2250 in MAX-ER configuration as the main crane, equipped with 140 foot main boom and 80 foot of luffing jib. The assisting cranes for upending the modules are a 275 ton capacity Liebherr LR1200SX crawler and a 165 ton capacity American 8460 conventional truck crane.
