Bigge Hauls 110 ton Refinery Vessel from Texas to California
After a seven-week journey, the 103 foot vessel weighing nearly 220,000 pounds has reached its final destination at a Northern California refinery.
Pictured are two 265 ton Liebherr LTM1220 all terrain cranes each rigged with 119,000 pounds of counterweight that hoisted and set the vessel from the beam and dolly transporter onto a split ten line platform trailer.
The ten lines of platform trailers were split into six lines and four lines each with turntables used to maneuver the long 103 foot vessel within the congested refinery and into the staging area.
The vessel will sit in the staging area to be set at a later date. Stay tuned for more information as this vessel will make a magnificent lift using two large capacity cranes.
