Bigge Hoists Vessel for Water Recycling Facility
This multiple lift was completed for the construction of a new water treatment facility which will use the combination of reverse osmosis and brine concentration technologies to purify 800,000 gallons of water daily. The new brine concentrator system is the world's first and will recycle high quality drinking water for its facilities.
The 85’ long and 94,000 lb. vessel was delivered onsite and immediately set in a staging area using two 90 ton capacity Link-Belt HTC8690 truck cranes.
To lift the vessel, Bigge mobilized a 600 ton capacity Demag AC500 to hoist and a 265 ton capacity Liebherr LTM1160 all terrain crane to tail hoist. Within minutes, the cranes safely set the vessel on a prepared platform and it was bolted to the foundation.
