Scope:
Bigge Power Constructors, as subcontractor to SMUD, performs the following nuclear power plant decommissioning work involving heavy lift and heavy transportation for the Rancho Seco Spent Fuel Movement Project.
- Moved the spent fuel from the Fuel Pool into the storage canisters
- Moved the canisters to the specialized transport vehicle
- Transported the spent fuel canisters to the on-site storage moving a total of 21 canisters
- Loaded the 21 canisters the ISFSI

- Engineering unique solution for lifting and transportation utilizing specialized equipment
- Handling of twenty-one spent fuel canisters
