Bigge Crane and Rigging, as contractor to the Owner, performed the following heavy lifting and moving activities for the Feedwater Heater Replacement Project at the Colstrip 3 & 4 Power Plant:

• Engineering a custom skidding and lifting solution for the exchange of the feedwater heaters weighing 100 tons each
• Erected and disassembled the skidding and rigging system
• Removed the old feedwater heater from its location in the Turbine Building
• Lifted the 100 ton feedwater heater using the Turbine Building crane and traversed it within the Turbine Building

Bigge Constructors will successfully deal with the following challenges on this project.

• Engineering a unique solution to the skids and lifts
• Handling the 100 ton load through lifting and traversing in the Turbine Building
