Kobelco BMS1000 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Kobelco BMS1000 is a hydraulic crawler crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 90.7 metric tons (100 U.S. tons) and a maximum crane boom length of 62.6m (205 ft.). Welded lattice construction using tubular, high-tensile steel chords with pin connections between sections make up the boom and jib.

The BMS1000 features a powerful HINO P11C-VH. The engine is a Turbocharged vertical inline 6 cylinder with fuel injection makes the engine reliable, durable, and consume less fuel. The fuel tank holds 400 liters to ensure high efficiency and long working hours. Using a throttle twist grip the motor is electrically controlled for easy operation and control. The hydraulic system is made up of 3 variable displacement piston pumps. A hydraulic propel system provides both skid steering and counter-rotating steering allowing the crane to move on terrain with a 30% gradeability. The lower structure of the crane is a 14.6 ton steel-welded carbody with axles. The counterweight for this crane is 37.1 tons making the lifting the load more efficient.

The BMS1000 is made for reliable operation, convenient maintenance, and easy transport. Crawler assemblies can be hydraulically extended for wide-track operation or retracted for transportation. The cab is totally enclosed, full-vision cab has safety glass all around. The auxiliary controls and instruments are mounted on the side console. All wiring is corded for easy serving, individual fused branch circuit.
