Terex AC 700 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Terex AC 700 is an all-terrain crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 800 tons. The maximum boom length is 196.9 feet and the maximum jib length is 328.1 feet.

The carrier engine of the Terex AC 700 is a 571 horsepower 8‑cylinder DaimlerChrysler OM 502 LA. With a fuel tank of 171 lons, the Terex AC 700 can stay working longer without wasting time fueling up. The superstructure engine is very similar to the carrier engine, and is rated to 279.

The frame of the AC 700 is specially built by the Terex-Demag team with high strength fine grain structural steel. A pot shaped center section of the frame is included to allow for the outrigger beams. The four-point outrigger system consist of folding outrigger beams with fully hydraulic horizontal and vertical extension. An outrigger loading indicator is also included, allowing for a more controlled outrigger extension.

The dual-circuit semiblock mechanical steering system has a hydraulic booster to allow for easier steering. The brake system consists of a sustained action brake, a constant decompression valve, an exhaust brake, and a hydraulic retarder integrated into the transmission. The transmission is a CT 755 with an electronic transmission control and a torque converter.
