Terex RT 550 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Terex RT550 is specifically designed to handle the roughest terrains. It has a max lift capacity of 55 tons (50 t), a main boom max length of 110 ft. (34 m), and a max jib length of 60 ft. (18 m). It features an all-steel, environmentally-friendly operator cab that is sound and weather insulated for comfort. Equipment in the cab includes: a six-way adjustable operator’s seat, dash-mounted controls, and environmentally-sealed rocker switches.

The Terex RT550 also comes with several impressive safety systems. Some of these include: a rated capacity indicator (RCI) system that comes with an anti-two block system with automatic function disconnects. All electronics are powered by a 12-volt electric system, while the main power comes from a six-cycle Cumminsings 6BTA5.9 engine that produces up to 174 (130 kW) and a 50-galgallon (189 L) fuel tank.
