The Comedil CTT 161A‑8 is a flat top tower crane that sets up quickly, features economical-yet powerful motors providing high lifting capacity. This tower crane has a max lift capacity of 8 metric tons (8.8 U.S. tons), a max. hook height with horizontal jib reaches out to 65 m (213 ft). The lifting capacity at maximum length is 1.4 metric tons (1.54 U.S. tons). The upper structure of the crane comes with a cross girder, ballast, complete counter-jib, and counterweights. With a modular design, there are various configurations that can be built specifically for your project. There is a safety cable (for the whole length of the jib) thus allowing the crane operators and maintenance engineers to fasten themselves with the special safety belt when walking along with it.

The Terex CTT 161A‑8 uses (1) 30 AFC 40 hoist drive system that operates using a 70 kVA connection. The slewing drive on this crane is an SSR 2 2 65 which gives it excellent maneuverability and high precision. This Terex tower crane has two slewing units, TS16 & TS21; and also a hoist winch. The Terex CTT tower crane series features transfer mats which you can combine flat top, luffing jib, and hammerhead tower cranes, allowing more flexibility to get the job done. Transfer mats allow for a wide range of combinations.

The CTT 161A‑8 features the S‑Pace Cab cabin is designed to allow the operator to work in comfort, reduce fatigue, and help with job site safety. The controls use a new ergonomic joystick for precise maneuvering of loads and an anti-glare, multi-language display that provides data to the operator. The crane uses load, wind speed, and height indicators which then alert the operator of any potential dangers.
