Maeda MC285 CRM-2 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Maeda MC285 CRM‑2 is a mini crawler spider crane. It’s compact size 750 mm (30 inches) wide body is perfect for small crevices or indoor building projects. For ease of use, it can be controlled manually or remotely with a control.

The MC285 CRM‑2 has a max. lifting capacity of 2.81 metric tons (3.10 U.S. tons). With a 5 sectional telescopic boom, it can reach up to 8.57 m (28.1 ft). An optional boom tip searcher can be installed for a max. lifting height of 9.7 m (31.10 ft). An auxiliary wench comes with the crane. Capable of rigging from a single point requires minimal rigging for a fast 1 point connection.

This mini crawler has the option to choose between diesel or gas or dual (electric) engines. Heavy rubber tracks are standard to travel on rough surfaces, rubber tracks are optional. A three sheave block is standard for two or four-part reeving without changing blocks.

A moment limiter & digital load indicator system is fully integrated with an outrigger interlock system preventing operation if outriggers not properly set. The spider leg design outriggers are designed with multiple position settings to provide flexibility. With 12 possible settings, lifting capacity does vary depending on the setting. A safe working lamp and outrigger warning lamp alerts the operator.
