Tadano’s GR800XL Provides Power Without Compromising Adaptability
Jan 4 2018
Tadano rough terrain cranes have long been regarded in the crane industry as some of the best in the business. The 80-ton Tadano GR800XL is no different. This rough terrain crane is perfect for many jobsites because of its power, adaptability, and quality of life features.
The outrigger system of the GR800XL has four hydraulic single stage double box beam outriggers. Three position settings allow for the ability to adapt to any lift and jobsite. The five section powered boom has a maximum height of 144 feet that can be reached in 160 seconds. An offsettable bi-fold lattice swingaway jib adds an extra 58 feet to the tip height of the GR800XL allowing operators to extend reach.
The cab of the rough terrain is constructed of steel and features full vision windows. An ergonomically designed control system and comfortable seating allow for long days of efficient work. The GR800XL is able to traverse the jobsite with ease by using the 270HP Cummins diesel engine, a rangeshift transmission, 3 separate drive modes, and the ability to move with the boom extended.
The GR800XL is the right crane for you if you need:
A 144-foot boom
A rangeshift transmission and three drive modes
An 80-ton maximum capacity
