Comedil CTL 1600-66 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Terex/​Comedil CTL 1600 – 66 is a luffing jib tower crane, excellent for working in confined spaces where close areas are limited. Its small slewing radius and heavy lifting capability is ideal in urban areas. This tower crane has a maximum lift capacity of 66 metric tons (72.8 U.S. tons). The jib extends to 75 m (246 ft.) and the lifting capacity while jib is at maximum length is 16 metric tons (17.6 U.S. tons). The jib is made up of 8 sections and when at minimum length it requires four. Counterweights vary depending on the length and height of the jib.

The CTL 1600 – 66 features a 150kW hoist winch that can hold 960 meters of rope, a vector luffing winch, and a service winch. All functions are frequency controlled for fast, precise load positioning. For such a big and powerful crane it is easy to assemble and transport, it comes with a foldable ​‘A’ frame which can be transported with one truck.

The Terex/​Comedil CTL 1600 crane gives the operator heavy lifting power with easy assembly, comfort, and increased job site safety. The crane comes with pre-assembled ladders, a tower platform, and a new connection system for improving safety, speed, and lifting points for vertical and horizontal positioning. With the new Terex EVOCAB 15, its design makes operating the crane very comfortable. The interior was created with the operator in mind, ergonomic joysticks make controls for precise maneuvering and a 360 degree view cab gives the operator the ability to always be aware of the lift and the surroundings.
