Demag CC 9800

Max. Cap 1600 US Tons
Boom 512 ft
Jib 394 ft

The Demag CC 9800 is a heavy duty crawler crane that handles even the biggest projects with ease. It comes standard with a 1764 ton (1600 t) maximum lift capacity, a 512 ft. (156 m) main boom max length, and a 393 ft. (120 m) max jib length. The 5‑section carrier is made up of the carbody, two cross axles, and two split-type crawler side frames which are all made from high-strength fine grain structural steel and pin-connected hydraulically.

The CC 9800’s crawlers provide independent, infinitely-variable control, and counter-rotation capability. They are each driven by two hydraulic motors which are fitted with spring-loaded, hydraulically released holding brakes. That’s all powered by a Daimler type OM 502 LA diesel engine which generates up to 516 (380 kW) and a large 528 gallon (2000 l) fuel tank.

The Demag CC 9800 also has a host of impressive features in its spacious operator cab like a computerized air conditioning system and a self-contained hot-air heater. The cab and operator seat can be tilted for an improved view of the boom point, and it comes standard with instrumental and crane controls, as well as two graphic displays. It also comes with a camera monitoring system, storage cabinets, and a refrigerator.

For those looking to push the 9800 even more, some of the options available include super-weight counterlifts and a counterweight carrier.
