Link-Belt HTC-850 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Link-Belt HTC-850 is a 50 ton hydraulic truck crane. It comes equipped with a maximum boom length of 85 ft. and a maximum jib length of 25 feet with an optional fly of 33 feet. An optional 4 stage boom with a maximum length of 110 feet is available.

Powered by a Cummins 6CTA 8.3 234 6‑cylinder engine, the HTC-850 is capable of a top speed of 50mph. A Fuller Roadranger RTO-6613 13 speed transmission is standard. Maximum line pull is 15780 pounds, with a max line speed of 548 feet per minute.

The boom of the HTC-850, a 3 section workhorse, takes advantage of the patented Link Belt boom design. The side plates of the boom are impressed with a diamond shape which allows for a superior strength to weight ratio, giving the HTC-850 one of the best charts in its class.

The cab of the HTC-850 was built with safety and efficiency in mind. It is isolated from sound and vibration by rubber mounts. By limiting sound and vibration, an operator can focus on the task at hand. The cab is also equipped with tinted and tempered safety glass, to protect the operator from debris and sunlight.

In addition, the HTC-850 features a state of the art Load Moment indicator (LMI). The LMI comes with a visual warning system. By giving this warning system, Link Belt ensures that the operator, and the people around the crane, can be safe. It warns when a piece of the crane is compromised, or when the load limit has been reached.
