Link-Belt LS-248 LOAD CHART AND SPECS — Lattice boom crawler crane

Link-Belt LS-248 crane series is a Hydraulic Lattice Boom Crawler Crane. This series takes advantage of Link-Belt’s own proprietary variable displacement hydraulic system for extreme power, flexibility, and reliability. Its compact design and self-assembly make the crane great for projects in places that larger cranes can’t fit.

There are three models within the series — Link-Belt LS-248, Link-Belt LS-248H, and Link-Belt LS-248H5.

Link-Belt LS-248 The Link-Belt LS-248H Hydraulic Lattice Boom Crawler Crane has a maximum lift capacity of 150 tons and a maximum of 280 feet of conventional boom. Part of Link-Belt’s Hydraulic Lattice Boom (HYLAB) line, it incorporates full hydraulic power with fine inching control. Able to set up and disassemble in an hour without a helper crane.

Link-Belt LS-248H has a max. lifting capacity of 181.44 metric tons (200 U.S. tons). The conventional open throat boom can reach up to 86.87 m (285 ft). The combination of boom and jib the max. reach is 74.68 m + 30.48 m (245 ft + 100 ft) of offsettable jib for a tip height of 105.76 m (347 ft). The luffing attachment has a 43.1 metric tons (47.2 US tons) capacity with a 102.11 m (335 ft) luffing attachment with 360° capacities, utilizing conventional boom for luffing boom. The maximum combination that can be configured is 45.72 m + 54.86 m+ 9.14 m (150 ft + 180 ft + 30 ft). It also features a high-power Cummins Tier4 Final QSB6.7 6 cylinder diesel engine with a 122-gallon fuel tank, pushing 270 HP/2,000 rpm. A variable displacement hydraulic system provides maximum reliability and precise load control. The hydraulic jacking system lifts the upper, lower frame, and tread members off the ground.

Link-Belt LS-248H5 has a max. lifting capacity of 181.44 metric tons (200 U.S. tons). The conventional open throat boom can reach up to 85.34 m (280 ft). The combination of boom and jib the max. reach is 73.15 m + 30.48 m (240 ft + 100 ft) of offsettable jib for a tip height of 105 m (345 ft). The luffing attachment has a 38.56 metric tons (42.5 US tons) capacity with a 115.82 m (380 ft) luffing attachment with 360° capacities, utilizing conventional boom for luffing boom. It also features a high-power Cummins Isuzu AH-6HK1X 6 cylinder diesel engine with a 77-gallon fuel tank, pushing 284 HP/2,000 rpm. A variable displacement hydraulic system provides maximum reliability and precise load control. The hydraulic jacking system lifts the upper, lower frame, and tread members off the ground.

Link-Belt LS-248 Crane Series has a lower frame is made of welded high strength steel. The side frames are removable and each frame comes with lifting brackets. The steering has an axial piston motor with a reduction gear located at the inner drive of each crawler side frame. Each side frame contains a pilot-controlled, bi-directional, axial piston motor, and a planetary gear reduction unit to provide positive control under all load conditions.
