Tower Crane Information

Potain Hup 40-30

Max Cap 4.4 US Tons

The Potain Hup 40 – 30 is a self-erecting tower crane with a maximum lifting capacity 4.4 tons and a maximum lift capacity of 1.1 tons at its jib’s end. The maximum jib length is 131 feet and the maximum height is 98 feet in its horizontal position and 131 feet at a 20-degree angle.

The Hup 40 – 30 is a versatile machine. With 16 different configurations, the crane can adapt to situations and jobsites other cranes could not even enter. The telescopic mast has two different heights, the jib has three different positions, and the jib tip and folding jib add even more configurations. Minimum effort is required while erecting and dismantling the crane, and the compact package of the Hup 40 – 30 is only 45 feet long when folded.

While the Hup 40 – 30 is versatile, it does not sacrifice lifting or precision ability. The High-Performance Lifting system and High-Performance Slewing system come standard in each Hup 40 – 30 and allow for the use of the highest speed while maintaining maximum loads and allow for motion control more advanced than others in its category.

A state-of-the-art control system was designed for the new Hup series. This control system includes drive control, high precision load positioning, and smart set-up software. The smart set-up software allows for folding and unfolding of the crane to remain simple and easy with step by step directions. The control system can be used outside of the crane for a better view of the jobsite.
