The Tadano GR1000XL series are hydraulic rough terrain cranes with a 100-ton lifting capacity. The“GR” stands for Global Rough Terrain in Tadano’s GR product line. All GR1000XL models come standard with 2 hoists, the main hoist, and an auxiliary hoist. The GR1000XL series are equipped with HELLO-NET, a telematics-based internet website that provides customers with machinery management information. Each model of the GR1000XL series is capable of self-removing counterweights.

Tadano machines are exceptional and intuitive to use because Tadano conducts extensive research and considers customer needs when developing newer models. With each new model of the series, Tadano improves components such as cabin ergonomics, engine performance, fuel consumption, Load Moment Indicators readings, and most importantly safety features for operators.

All models prior to the GR1000XL‑4 are issued AML‑C Load Moment Indicators (LMI) which is a combination of analog and digital. The newest GR1000XL‑4 is equipped with an AML-E2, an all-digital LMI that monitors outrigger extended lengths and automatically programs the corresponding RATED LIFTING CAPACITIES” table. The GR1000XL‑4 model has outfitted Smart Counterweight System which gives the crane the ability to move counterweights to the front and rear position.

Noticeable changes in the newer GR1000XL‑4 model are new boom and crane super-structure designs, making them stronger using innovative design and technology. The GR1000XL‑4 also comes with an assist cylinder to help mount and stow the jib. The hydraulic cylinders are used resulting in increased work efficiency and safety. For enhanced lifting capabilities, the 1000XL‑4 features two telescoping modes for the boom. This gives the operator options to choose whichever mode suits the lift needs.

Environmental friendly features come with GR1000XL models. An Eco-Mode function is standard, and a Positive Control System is integrated which keeps the quantity of hydraulic pump discharge to a minimum, reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 20%.
