Terex RT 45L Crane Overview and Specifications

The Terex RT 45L is a rough terrain crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 50 tons. The maximum boom length is 123 feet and the maximum jib length is 26 feet.

The hoist system of the RT 45L is a rope roller device with a hydraulic motor and a normally engaged brake. This system can be operated at 2 speeds, with the fastest pull speed being 262.467 feet per minute. The RT45L is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 Stage IIIA engine. This 6‑cylinder engine is Tier III compliant, rated at 175 horsepower, and has a fuel tank capacity of 79 lons.

The boom of the RT 45L has 5 sections and has a boom luffing range of ‑2 degrees and 78 degrees. The boom takes 57 seconds to raise and lower completely, and 125 seconds to extend and retract. The hydraulic system is composed of one three section pump. Two of the sections are a variable displacement piston pump and one section is a gear pump. The transmission system allows for power shi 2 separate modes. The manual mode allows for 3 forward speeds and the automatic mode allows for 5 forward speeds.
