Boom Truck Information

Terex TC40

Max Cap 40 US Tons

The Terex TC40 is a 40 ton hydraulic truck crane. It has a maximum boom length of 100 ft. and a maximum jib length of 50 ft.

The TC40 is powered by a 6 cylinder 320 horsepower M.A.N. D2066 LF 35 engine, one of the largest engines in its class. The TC40 also takes advantage of a manual ZF ECOSPLIT gearbox with 18 speeds, which allows for the operator to have fine control while the crane is mobile. The suspension uses parabolic leaf springs and hydraulic shock absorbers for a smooth ride. The breaking system includes pneumatic disk and pneumatic drum brakes, allowing for the upmost safety and control.

A single-circuit mechanical steering with a hydraulic booster is used to ensure the operator has complete control.

The cab of the TC40 is rubber mounted to limit the noise and vibration in the crane. By limiting sound and vibration, the operator can focus on each job and finish it quickly and safely. The windows used are equipped with tinted safety glass, to limit glare and save the operator from potentially hazardous situations.

Another way the Terex TC40 puts itself a step above the competition, is by making itself compact and easily moveable. The counterweight system in the TC40 weighs less than the maximum load weight for most roads.
