Hit Higher Freestanding Heights With a HD33 System From Bigge
Elevate your Peiner and Comedil tower cranes to higher heights with the HD33 System, immediately available from Bigge. This system eliminates the need for costly building tie-ins while allowing free-standing heights previously impossible to reach. The 3.3‑meter-wide HD33 base section offers unmatched stability and freestanding height.
Bigge’s HD33 System enables you to raise your towers 350 to 400 feet without adding expensive building tie-ins.
It’s a proven solution that has been successfully deployed at several significant projects with Comedil CTT 561 and CTT 721, as well as Peiner SK 415 and 575 tower cranes. It makes freestanding your project safe and secure without unnecessary complexity and expense.
Here’s how the HD33 System works
First comes the installation of the tower base. Depending on several factors, including engineering requirements, jobsite wind zones, and construction methods, this may consist of between one and eight sections of HD33 33.6 mast, each section measuring six meters or twenty feet long. This wider base and the ability to run up to eight sections together provide the necessary structural integrity to reach higher freestanding heights.
Next, an HD33 to HD23 transition is installed to convert the tower to accept HD23 mast sections.
Finally, an HD23 26.12 mast section, twelve meters or forty feet long, is applied to the transition and serves as the new base for the traditional tower crane configuration.
It’s clear that the HD33 System allows you to safely and securely free-stand your tower crane an additional 21 to 63 meters or 69 to 207 feet beyond the standard crane configuration.
Additional height is achieved by using standard tower sections at the HD33 26.12 connection point within the HD33 system. This setup integrates seamlessly with leading Tower Crane models, including the CTT 561A-20, CTT 561A-32, CTT 721 – 40, CTT 721B-40, SK 575 – 32, and SK 415 – 20
KEY ADVANTAGES
➜ Cut Out Labor-Intensive Climbing, Costly Climbing Cages, and Expensive Building Tie-Ins
This approach accelerates project timelines by reducing overall expenses and engineering demands associated with climbing cages and building tie-ins. It also eliminates the need for costly building penetrations.
➜ Wider Tower Base for Enhanced Stability
With a wider base of 3.3 meters (compared to the standard 2.3 meters HD and Peiner Tower), this tower section provides a stronger, more stable steel structure.
➜ Unprecedented Freestanding Heights
Freestand your Comedil or Peiner tower cranes to an impressive 400 feet under the hook without needing external bracing or attachments.
➜ Stay Ahead With the Latest Innovation
Take your projects to new heights with this cutting-edge technology designed to push the limits of what tower cranes can achieve.
➜ Expand Your Fleet’s Capabilities
