Comansa LCL280-24t Crane Overview and Specifications

The Comansa LCL 280-24t is a luffing jib tower crane, and is the heaviest of the 280 model in terms of lifting. The maximum height of the crane is 51.4 m (193 ft.). This tower crane has a maximum lift capacity of 24 metric tons (26.4 U.S. tons). The maximum jib length is 60 meters (213 ft.), the lifting capacity while the jib is at maximum length is 2.6 metric tons (2.86 U.S. tons). At maximum length the jib is composed of 7 parts and while at its minimum it uses 3 parts. Different counterweights vary depending on the length and weight of the load.

This crane is a free standing stationary crane and uses either an undercarriage or concrete anchors. There is an option of using an 8 meter wide base which is compatible with other tower components allowing to increase the tower height up to 30%. The crane comes standard with a 64 kW hoist unit, and if needed there is an option of using a 110 kW hoist unit.

The hoist mechanisms includes the Effi Plus system, it improves hoist speeds while carrying lighter loads. The LCL 280 series includes an electronic system which allows the hoist and luffing movement to coordinate. The operator can displace the load horizontally while applying the luffing movement. For safety the cranes have anti-collision and forbidden zones technology to help prevent any accidents.
