Grove GMK4100L-1 Crane Overview and Specifications
The Grove GMK4100L‑1 is an all-terrain crane with a maximum lift capacity of 115 tons. It has a maximum boom length of 197 feet and a maximum jib length of 85 feet.
The GMK4100L‑1 is powered by a 6 cylinder, 435 horsepower Mercedes OM470LA engine. The transmission system is a Mercedes G280-16. The pairing of the Tier IV powerhouse of an engine and dependable transmission is also optimized for maximum fuel efficiency, saving time and money.
The boom of the GMK4100L‑1 was engineered with an egg shaped cross section to maximize lift capacity, wear pads designed to provide expert boom alignment while telescoping, and laser hybrid welding technology to ensure that the boom will not fail while completing a lift.
The MEGATRAK suspension and all wheel steering system is best in class. The suspension offers ground clearance of up to two feet, and the suspension can be raised 6.5 inches or lowered 5 inches. By including a MEGATRAK suspension system, the Grove team ensures that the driveline of the GMK4100L‑1 remains aligned at all time. The hydraulic system allows for reduced tire wear and reduces time down due to maintenance.
The man machine interface (MMI) allows for control of the suspension from both sides of the crane. The MMI controls ground clearance and active suspension. By allowing for control from both sides of the carrier, the MMI offers enhanced flexibility.
