Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Liebherr LTC 1050−3.1 is an all-terrain crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 50 tons. It has a maximum boom length of 118 feet and a maximum job length of 43 feet.

The crane is powered by a diesel, 6 cylinder, water-cooled, 354 horsepower, Mercedes-Benz engine powerful enough to complete any job. All of the axles are steered, 1 and 3 are driven with transverse differential locks. All axles are on a hydro-pneumatic suspension and they are lockable hydraulically.

A 2 circuit steering system with hydraulic servo steering is used in the LTC 1050−3.1. The rear axle can steer, depending on the active speed, and other special steering programs are included to fit the need of any jobsite. The brake system is composed of a service brake, an all-wheel servo-air brake, disc brakes on each axle, and a spring loaded handbrake. If one brake fails, there is a way to stop this crane, making it one of the safest cranes on the market.

The cab of the LTC 1050−3.1 is full of all the features requested in today’s crane market. Amenities to keep operators happy such as air conditioning are standard, as well as safety features such as corrosion resistant furnishings. The LICCON2 safe load indicator is included to ensure that each lift goes off safely and if anything out of the ordinary happens an operator can quickly catch it and stop the lift.
