Link-Belt 238 HSL Crane Overview and Specifications

The Link-Belt 238 HSL is a crawler crane with a maximum lift capacity of 150 tons. The maximum boom length is 240 feet and the maximum jib length is 80 feet.

The engine of the Link-Belt 238 HSL is a Cummins QSB6.7. This tier IV complaint engine is rated at 270 horsepower, has full pressure lubrication, and an electric control shutdown. The hoist motors come standard with counterbalance valves for positive load lowering and for the prevention of accidental load dropping if the hydraulic pressure decreases.

The hydraulic pump system of the 238 HSL is crafted to allow for exact control of all crane functions. The system consists of two variable displacement pumps for hoist drums, one variable displacement pump for swing motors, lower jacks, counterweight removal, and side frame extension, one fixed displacement gear type pump for the pilot and pump controls, and two fixed displacement gear type pumps for the hoist brake and cooling system.

The counterweight system comes in four pieces. By coming in four pieces, the counterweight system allows for the Link-Belt 238 HSL to ship with just the weight it needs for each job and not waste space or money transporting counterweight it does not need. The operator cab is full of features that will keep the jobsite safe and the operator comfortable. Air conditioning and a controllable seat give the operator comfort and a rated capacity limiter, a rearview camera, and all tinted safety glass are just a few of the features that keep the operator and those around the jobsite safe.
