The Manitowoc 10000A‑1 is a crawler crane with a maximum lift capacity of 100 tons. The maximum boom length is 200 feet and the maximum jib length is 60 feet.

The 10000A‑1 is powered by a HINO J08E-UV engine. This 6‑cylinder water cooled engine is tier IV compliant, is rated at 285 horsepower, and is equipped with direct fuel injection with a turbocharger. The two drums used for load hoist are powered by variable displacement piston type motors driven through planetary reducers. Free fall operation, drum turn indicators for front and rear drums, and power hoisting and lowering come standard.

The hydraulic system is composed of three variable displacement piston pumps driven by a heavy duty pump drive. One pump is used on the left propel circuit and hook hoist circuit, the second is used in the right propel circuit, the boom hoist circuit, and the hook hoist circuit, while the third pump is used in the swing circuit. In addition to the variable displacement piston pumps are 2 gear pumps that are used in the control system and auxiliary equipment and two gear pumps serving the brake cooling system.

The swing system contains a hydraulic piston type motor driving spur gears through planetary reducers allowing for 360-degree rotation, spring set hydraulically released multiple disc brake mounted on the swing motor, a single row ball bearing with integral internally cut swing gear, and a four position swing lock for ease of transportation.
