Manitowoc 8500 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Manitowoc 8500 is a solid crawler crane for projects that require maneuverability in tight spaces. It has a max lift capacity of 85 tons (77 t), a main boom max length of 200 ft. (61 m), and a max jib length of 60 ft. (18m). The Manitowoc 8500 is driven by a Turbocharged and after-cooled six-cylinder Hino J08E-UV diesel engine that is capable of generating up to 213 (159 kW) and a 105-galgallon (400 L) fuel tank. All electronics are powered by the standard 12-volt electric system.

It features an enclosed, fully equipped cab that comes with: tinted safety glass all around, air conditioning, a fully adjustable operator seat, an electronic twist grip hand throttle, a windshield wiper, and a signal horn.

Safety features include: a boom over-hoist limit switch, a boom hoist drum lock, an anti two-block system, a load moment indicator, a function lock lever, a swing alarm, and boom backstops.
