The Manitowoc MLC300 is a hydraulic crawler crane with a lift capacity of 300 US tons and boom length of 96m (315 ft.). For safety, the boom has a spring cushioned boom stop and automatic boom stop as standard equipment. This Manitowoc crawler uses two jibs, a No. 148 fixed jib that extends to 29m (98 ft.). A luffing jib No. 501 that reaches 96m (315 ft.). Booms and jibs have optional additional adjustable sections.

This crane features the Manitowoc Variable Position Counterweight (VPC),a counterweight system that automatically positions the crane’s counterweight as required to match lifting demands; eliminating the need for carbody counterweight. VPC allows the counterweight to be positioned better distributing ground bearing pressure during setup and lifting operations.

The MLC300 features a high-power Cummins Model QSG-12 diesel, 11.8 liter displacement, inline 6 cylinder, powering out 450 B @1800 . A single diesel fuel tank holds 264 lons. Full power multi-functional control is achieved in all operating modes through a combination of open and closed loop system optimized by Manitowoc’s proprietary onboard Crane Control System. This crawler comes with two drums, an independent main drum assembly and a independent luffing/​aux drum assembly mounted in the boom butt. 

The Vision Cab™ is a fully enclosed and insulated vanized steel fabricated module mounted to the left front corner of rotating bed. The Crane Control System offers a user-friendly interface, with two full graphic displays for better visibility, a jog dial for easier data input, and ergonomic joysticks. Manitowoc’s Fast Aligning Connection Technology (FACT) automatically aligns crane components for fast, safe and easy assembly.
