Terex AC 350-6 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Terex-Demag AC 350/6 is an all-terrain crane with a maximum lift capacity of 400 tons. The maximum boom length is 210 feet and the maximum jib length is 236.2 feet. The boom of the AC 350/6 utilizes a single cylinder telescoping system which automatically telescopes each section of the boom. The head of the boom was constructed with 6 sheaves in order to increase the maximum lift capacity and the overall power of the boom.

The engine of both the carrier and the superstructure are made by Mercedes and are Tier IV compliant. The larger carrier engine is rated at 585 horsepower, while the superstructure engine is rated at 286 horsepower.

Standard is a ZF AS-Tronic automatic transmission system with an integrated hydraulic retarder brake. There are 16 forward and 2 reverse speeds in a two stage transfer case with a switchable off-road gear and longitudinal lock. The system also comes with multiple steering programs so the crane can maneuver around diverse job sites. The AC 350/6 also has cruise control for long distance driving.

The cab of the AC 350/6 comes with many features that keep the operator safe or comfortable. Air conditioning, radio preparation, operator aids, and an electronic immobilizer system are just a few of many amenities included in the AC 350/6.
