Terex RC 60 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Terex RC 60 is a rough terrain crane with a maximum lift capacity of 66 tons. The maximum boom length is 131 feet and the maximum jib length is 49 feet.

The five section boom has a luffing angle range of -1 degree to 78 degrees, takes 58 seconds to raise and 70 seconds to lower completely, and takes 180 seconds to extend and 200 seconds to retract completely. The counterweight system weighs 8.8 tons. The superstructure has 360-degree rotation and can make two rotations per minute. The RC60 is fit to work in temperatures from -4 degrees to 113 degrees Fahrenheit, making it the perfect rough terrain for jobs in extreme conditions.

The RC 60 is powered by the Cummins QSB6.7 diesel engine. This 6-cylinder engine is rated at 219.928 horsepower and has a maximum fuel capacity of 79 gallons. The hoist system is a rope roller device powered by a hydraulic motor. 2 speeds with 311 feet per minute being the highest can be easily stopped by a normally engaged brake. The transmission system of the RC 60 is a 6x6 system with a torque converter. The hydraulic system is made of two double gear pumps. The cab of the RC 60 is equipped with a heater and ergonomically designed controls to keep the operator comfortable and external lights on the cab and a load indicator with a graphic interface to keep the operator and others on the jobsite safe.
