The Terex RT35 is a rough terrain crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 38 tons. The maximum boom length is 98 feet and the maximum jib length is 26 feet.
The RT35 is powered by a Cummins QSB4.5 diesel engine. This engine has 4 cylinders, is rated at 139 horsepower, and has a fuel tank capable of carrying 63 gallons. The transmission system is a 6x6 system. A torque converter and a pneumatic hydraulic service brake come standard with the system. The hoist system is a rope roller device with a hydraulic motor and a normally engaged brake. The system has two speeds with a maximum pull speed of 344 feet.
The boom of the RT35 is made up of four fully synchronized sections. It takes 77 seconds to raise the boom and 67 seconds to lower the boom, takes 92 seconds to extend and 40 seconds to retract completely. The maximum boom luffing angle is 78 degrees and the minimum luffing angle is -2 degrees. The carrier can rotate 360 degrees and can rotate up to two times per minute.
The cab of the RT35 was made with comfort and safety in mind. Ergonomically placed controls and a diesel heater keep the operator comfortable and focused on the job. A load indicator with a graphic interface and a light illuminating the area around the crane keep the operator and those around the crane safe.
