Bigge Transports 300,000 Pound Vessel

Bigge was contracted for the handling of one refinery vessel that has now traveled over land, sea, and will soon travel to its destination. Once there, it will be set into place with a 500 ton crawler crane. 

Bigge loaded the 300,000 lbs. unit at a manufacturing facility in the northwest and rolled it onto a staged deck barge. 

Once loaded and secured, the vessel voyaged roughly 700 miles to a northern California port. The vessel was then rolled-off the barge, and staged for road transportation at a height of 22 feet. It took several months of planning to ensure that it would only take a single night of transportation to the project site.
