Slated for completion in 2021, 1215 O Street is an 11-story, 360,000-square-foot office project in downtown Sacramento, that will accommodate over 1000 California state employees. It’s designed to integrate with the neighborhood and foster a sense of community.

On rent to general contractor Rudolph and Sletten is a Peiner SK575 tower crane from Bigge’s fleet. The erection of this unit was assisted by a LinkBelt HTC8675 80 ton truck crane, and a Grove GMK7550 550 ton all terrain crane.

In two days, Bigge’s crew built the mast, set the slewing ring, and hung the jib and counterweight. This hammerhead tower crane stands at 213’ height under hook, and a jib length of 213’. With a capacity of 35 tons to accommodate the movement of heavy equipment, it is configured with 4 parts of line and was installed in the early stages of the project to assist with rebar used in building the foundation. Over the course of the project, this crane will also assist in moving all types of building materials and supplies throughout the jobsite.
