1941 - Clyde Crane Assembly
On September 5th, 1941, a significant event took place at the Moore Dry Dock Company in Oakland, CA. It involved the impressive assembly of a Clyde Crane weighing 50 tons and spanning a radius of 65 feet. The crane's cab, weighing 38 tons and equipped with hoisting machinery, was also carefully lifted into position on the No. 4 slip.
