The Alimak SCANDO 650 is the world´s most popular construction hoist. The modular system offers flexibility, efficiency, safety, productivity, low energy consumption, and low cost of ownership.
It can be used in single or dual car configurations. The hoist car design is truly modular and offers several car lengths, and a multiple choice of doors or ramps. The 650 modular system that can adapt to different applications using relatively few modules and components. This hoist offers payloads up to 7100 per car.
The microprocessor-based control system, ALC-II, gives group control for up to six hoist cars, which can solve logistics problems on large construction sites. For example, the system reduces waiting times by storing all calls from the landings and sending the hoist car that is logistically nearest to a landing to pick up cargo or passengers.
The Alimak SCANDO 650 can be equipped with a frequency control unit (FC), with closed loop, which gives smooth starting and stopping with low starting current and less wear and tear. This hoist can operate at speeds up to 213 ft/min and provides more hoist power while using as much as 40% less power than previous models.
