Link-Belt 108 HYLAB 5 Crane Overview and Specifications

The Link-Belt 108 HYLAB 5 is a crawler crane with a maximum capacity of 55.1 tons. The maximum boom length is 140 feet and the maximum jib length is 110 feet.

The 108 HYLAB 5 can transport 90000 pounds with tracks counterweights and the base section of the boom, allowing for economical shipping and fast setup once the crane reaches the jobsite. An optional boom folding equipment allows for even more of the crane, up to 70 feet of the boom, to be shipped in one load, further reducing time loading, time disassembling, and time assembling, as well as money shipping an extra load.

The Link-Belt 108 HYLAB 5 is small, but it is powerful enough to complete lifts that cranes much larger could not. The engine, built by Isuzu, is the biggest engine in its class. While the engine is powerful, it is also the quietest engine in class. The quietness paired with the power make this engine perfect for residential areas or construction in an urban environment. Pinned backstops make counterweight self-assembly a painless experience.

The cab and engine are easily accessible through ladders with handrails and fold up tread member steps. Non slip safety strips ensure that maneuvering around the crane is safe and wide opening doors allow for easy access to the engine for maintenance. The cab comes with features such as air conditioning, a capacity limiter, and complete engine monitoring to keep the operator and others on the jobsite safe and comfortable.
